The Come Out and Play Festival is a street games fesitval dedicated to exploring new styles of games and play.

Come Out & Play 2010 in San Francisco

Outdoor Cham Ball
Dodgeball meets martial arts and fifteen feet of rope.

When: Saturday Oct 23 at 12-2pm
Location: The Panhandle at Ashbury
# of players: up to 12 at a time
Duration: Each game lasts ~30 minutes. Multiple games will be played.

Teams of 3 players try to score points by hitting opponents with a ball attached to 15 feet of rope and anchored to the center of a circular playing field.

Block with your forearms and shins, pass to your teammates to corner opponents, and then swing the rope like a Chinese meteor hammer master!

Charles, Tahiat, Luke, and Brendon all met at Chamball during its debut at Come Out and Play in 2009. Since then, they have been playing twice a week for over a year, through winter and summer, building it into the team sport it is today.
